Of course the queens are not without their enemies in their own right but the most important thing to them (besides keeping their own quadrants peace) is working together to help make the country better and safer in the long run. Each of them taking special care and measures to make sure their own quadrant is not tainted by the others. While this is going on we are introduced to some of the other important players in the story. We follow along with her as she steals an important case from one of the palace messengers to sell on the black market. Our main character is a girl by the name of Keralie who is known as a ‘dipper’ basically what this universe would call a thief.
The book follows a few different perspectives in the story. I just finished a wonderful book called Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte.
