Finch just wants to see his family be happy and munch on his fruits. Jesse was so caring towards her lil bro and vice versa. ✔️ Jesse & Finch older sister-younger brother sibling dynamic is sooooo adorable! These two were the best part of this book for me. Also Mama and Papa James rescuing Finch, a sprite, from a trafficking ring and adopting him into their family. ✔️ Can you imagine a healthy & loving family? Me neither, but the James family CUTE! While Jesse’s parents were missing for the most part of the book, the glimpses of them that we got gave me supportive parents. She’s no damsel in distress, but also not too powerful for a YA heroine. ✔️ Jesse is a good heroine, she is young, but not naive and she can hold her own in a fight.

✔️ The book is very YA, there is barely any romance, the focus is more on the plot, but it’s very well written.

Since the agency where Jesse’s parents work don’t take the disappearance of Jesse’s parents serious enough, Jesse decides to take matters in her own hands. One day her parents disappear after one of their jobs. Jesse James (h) is a 18 yr old from NY and her parents are famous fairie bounty hunters. After finishing this book, I was ready to hype this series up, since it’s pretty underrated, but then I remember reading some bad reviews from my friends for the last books 😪 that dampened my mood to hype this series up a little, but I’m still leaving with a list why this series is worth checking out.
